To us, it’s a very small world
the life of tiny bug:

They clean up our planet;

They rest in dark damp places
Like behind your garden hose!
Bright coloured ladybirds,
Help control small pests,
they help to keep plants
to grow at their best.
They’re a sign of good luck,
And also protection,
These little red bugs
Deserve all our affection!
A Rose Chafer beetle
With bright green iridescent shell,
They might eat our roses
But they do great things as well!
They eat up old leaves
And dead plants as they spoil,
And also their larvae
is good for our soil!
They may be teeny tiny,
And their presence may be small,
But without them in our ecosystem,
It would soon affect us all.
So look out for our friends,
Working hard in their small world all day,
As they wriggle, fly, and crawl away!
