Abcroakdabra - Black Sweater

As Halloween draws near
You hear the conjuring of a spell,
From a powerful wizard
That happens to be a frog as well?!

He might be small,
And he lives in the woods
He’s up to lots of mischief
And not very much good!

With his enchanted wand,
And his bubbling hot cauldron
Creating elixirs and potions
That will scare away children!

With a sprinkling of this,
And a pinch of that,
The secret ingredient
is kept under his hat!
But what could it be?
Perhaps tail of rat?
Maybe eye of newt?
Or could it be wing of bat?

The cauldrons overflowing:
The spells a success,
Of all his wicked spells
This could be his best!
He’s drawn back the veil
Between this world and another,
And what will come through
Will make us all shudder!

As ghosts flow through
His otherworldly portal,
The wizard lets off a croak
followed by a snortle.
“I’ve done it!” He cries
With a wicked laugh,
“Now prepare yourselves
For the summoned spirits wrath!

But what’s going on?
They aren’t here to scare?
Instead they play games,
And brought sweets to share?
Well this certainly isn’t
what the wizard intended,
But he’s still really happy
with how the spell ended!

“That wasn’t so bad…”
the frog wizard giggled,
“But it’s getting late now,
So it’s time that this ended”:
he raises his wand
And gives it one final wiggle!

And just like that
The spirits begin to disappear,
At least for now…

But they’ll be back next year…
