In the freezing cold December.

when sitting by the fire isn’t enough,
There must surely be a way…
“I know!” Exclaimed brown mouse
“This weather calls for just one thing:
A steaming mug of hot chocolate
Is the answer to make our hearts sing!”.
“You’re right!” Squeaked grey mouse,
“Now let me have a think…”
and off he went into the kitchen
to make a deliciously hot drink:
“First we warm up the milk,
Then stir in some chocolate too,
Then I’ll add a squirt of cream
And then marshmallows for me, and you!”
Oh what a sight to behold;
It’s like they’re in a dream…
Brown mouse then adds three candy canes,
They make a wonderful team!
They take a step back to behold
Their concocted spectacular treat
This’ll warm the cockles of their hearts,
From their fingers, to their feet!
Our duo enjoy their hot drink together,
It’s made them cosy and warm,
As the wind and snow outside subsides,
Together they’ve got through the storm!
